On display at Tru-Test’s AgQuip site was a range of electronic identification (EID) products and walk over weighing systems, including the latest product, the heavy duty HD5T load bars which measure 1010 millimetres and have a capacity of 5000 kilograms.
They’re easy to install, and can be mounted under the heaviest of crushes. Th HD5T load bars are constructed from galvanised steel to withstand harsh environments and feature heavy duty TPR/PVC cables which minimise the likelihood of cable damage.
Tru-Test also has the software to allow farmers to use their weighing data effectively.
The online MiHub system presents data in a clear, user friendly way, so producers can monitor weight gains and track performance to target weights, allowing them to identify top performers using simple graphs and charts.
The system allows producers to instantly share weighing data with staff, their vet, or consultants, and the data can be transferred seamlessly from the Tru-Test weigh scale through the Data Link smartphone application.
MiHub works with Tru-Test’s remote walk over weighing systems, which automate data collection at watering points, with EID weight data recorded and transmitted over satellite or 3G networks, with the weights presented weekly through MiHub.
The producer can then set drafting criteria remotely and cattle are automatically drafted according to weight, helping the farmer identify the top performers, and make decisions regarding those that aren’t performing.
