A PERFECT spring day, the traditional free luncheon and a plethora of prizes for fashions on the field was once again on offer at the annual Collarenebri Spring Races.
This year the titles of best-dressed stallion and best-dressed boy went to the local father and son team of, James and Tyler Earl from “Lagoona”.
While mother and daughter Belinda and Victoria Butler from “Yeranbah” Lightning Ridge were named the best dressed mare and best dressed girl.
The prize for the best hat went to Sharon Girling from the Colly Butchery with the title of overall best-dressed person at this year’s meeting jointly awarded to Coonamble couple Peter Whitehead and Marie McLellan.
The feature race, the 2018 B&W Rural Collarenebri Cup was won by the Gavin Groth, Gunnedah-trained Beale Street and was ridden by Gulgong-based jockey Jake Pracey-Holmes.
