At the annual Southern Limousin Breeders Production Sale held in Moss Vale, 17 bulls were offered with nine sold to $5000 twice and an average of $4055. Also, five females were offered and two sold to $2500 and averaged $2375.
Equal top price and sold by breeder Peter Kylstra, Progress Limousins, Yanco, was Progress Major League M12 when purchased by Peter Wojcicki, Cirvan. Mr Kylstra offered four bulls and sold all for average $4250.
Tony Starr, Starrs Limousins, Thuddungra, sold Starrs Maestro for $5000 when purchased by West Plains Partnership, Forbes. Mr Starr offered three bulls and sold two for an average of $4250.
Mr Kylstra offered his heifer, Progress Little Legend N9 and sold to VMC Corp P/L, Sutton Forest for $2500.

Vince Simonetta from VMC Corp Pty Ltd was a strong supporter of the sale securing one bull and two females. John Sheehy, Limoges Limousins, Lake Bathurst sold one bull for $4000, Taurus Limousins, Calderwood, sold one bull for $3500, and Max Rossi, Deneen Limousins, Albion Park, sold one bull for $3500.
On behalf of the sale committee, Claire Brewer was happy with the results in the midst of tough year.
“There was great support from vendors and buyers,” she said. The sale was conducted by Landmark Moss Vale with Daniel Croker taking the bids.
