Productivity is all important in the rural heartlands of Australia.
Whether you live on a small acreage property or run a large farming business, a good value tractor that saves time and effort is worthwhile.
South Korean tractor manufacturer, TYM, is a firm favourite on Australian farms according to Inlon’s sales and marketing manager, Gary Surman.
“South Korean manufacturing is renowned on the world stage for its quality made and well-designed products, backed by heavy R and D investment,” Mr Surman said.
“South Korea’s capital investment in R and D is among the highest in the world as a percentage of GDP.
“This pays dividends for customers in the extra features they get for their dollars and the quality build of TYM tractors.
“When TYM launched their latest model range, we invited a key group of farm machinery dealers to TYM’s South Korean operations to see what happens behind the scenes.
“The new TYM T413 HST compact tractor and T75 and T95 utility tractors were showcased at this international event.
“In addition, the re-release of the T273 tractor was presented with a very competitive price point to tempt new buyers.
“We visited TYM’s 40,000 m² manufacturing facility in Iksan city, the front-end loader and mid-mount mower factory in Noseong, South Chungcheong, and the state-of-the-art R and D centre.
“Test drives and inspections left us in no doubt that these high quality tractors will be popular.
“TYM’s ergonomic design and tractor attachments make for comfort and maximum productivity around the farm.
“The lay-out of the controls means all TYM tractors are easy to use, and there’s an integrated loader joystick on some models.
“Noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) are key measurements for safety and comfort in all vehicles, including tractors.
“TYM only uses world recognised quality diesel engines such as Yanmar, Mitsubishi and Perkins to reduce NVH.
“The operator space in both models is also generous, so there’s a more pleasurable, ergonomic experience in the ride.
“TYM tractors have optional attachments, which offer extra versatility.
“For example, the optional back-hoe, which is available on models under 60hp, opens up a whole raft of options such as moving soil, digging holes and stump removal.

“The TYM T413 HST tractor, with its 38.4hp Japanese Yanmar diesel engine, is available in both ROPS (Roll Over Protection Frame) and air-conditioned cabin models.
“In fact, the TYM T413 brings to the Australian market the best price sub 40hp four wheel drive compact tractor available with an air-conditioned cabin - a perfect upgrade for the hot summer ahead.
“Quality features include three range HST transmission, 1200kg linkage lift capacity, a flat operators platform, level-lift quick-hitch loader and four-in-one bucket, and an integrated loader joystick with third function.
“One of the new TYM ROPS utility tractors, the T75 (75hp) model will be available this year.
“The T95 (95hp) model is expected early in 2019.
“Much of the basic ROPS utility tractor market is currently dominated by budget Indian and Chinese made product.
“The dealers at the launch told us their customers are looking for alternative good value tractors that will stand the test of time.
“TYM offers a competitively priced high quality product that is completely made in South Korea.
“The T75 and T95 come with 12 x 12 shuttle shift transmission, a flat operators platform and level-lift Euro-hitch loader, and four-in-one.
“The T273 compact tractor was the best-selling TYM tractor in Australia ever, but it was recently overtaken by the T313 model because of the extra horsepower and features on the T313.
“However, the T273 has returned with a great new price point for a strictly limited stock promotion to show up its big brother and take back the mantle!
“The T273 and T313, with their Japanese Mitsubishi engine, are the strongest compact tractors on the market.
“They come with side-by-side HST pedals and a level-lift quick-hitch loader with four-in-one bucket.
“Customers can take advantage of the family rivalry.
“The appeal of TYM tractors is the heavy build and quality you would expect.
“The tractors have an impressive base weight excluding attachments.
“Most of their weight comes from the cast iron components rather than die-cast aluminium, delivering weight to the transmission and drive-line.
“The three year warranty gives peace of mind, while the ergonomic design, quality build and extra features to make life easier are very welcome on our rural and regional farms.”
