Return clientele promoted Greenland Merinos and Poll Merinos to reach highs of $4300 at its annual on-property ram sale at Bungarby on Monday.
The Alcock family sold 58 of the 68 rams offered for an average price of $1533 with the top price of $4300.
Billy Stevenson, Quidong Pastoral Company, Quidong, Bombala, paid top money for the Greenland 170787 ram, with a 19.2 micron fleece, 3.2 standard deviation, 16 per cent co-efficient of variation and a comfort factor of 99.7 per cent.
Mr Stevenson said they had been buying Greenland genetics for three years as they suited their program for their skin and body structure.
He also purchased a ram for $4000 and $3000 with an overall average of $3767 for his draft.
Second top of $4200 was paid by Leon Clarke, Manawa Stud, Berridale.
Heading off to stud duties, the Greenland 170754 ram was by Westray 150016 with a 18.8 micron fleece, 3.5 standard deviation, 18.8pc co-efficient of variation and a comfort factor of 99.4pc.
Speaking of his purchase, Mr Clarke said the ram was well covered, well nourished and well grown for his age.
Leading the volume buying was David Davidson, Yarran Agriculture, Young, who purchased eight rams paying to a top of $2800 to average $1588.
The sale was settled by Landmark Bombala and Schutes Bell Badgery Lumby, with Tim Woodham of Landmark Wagga Wagga tallying the bids.
