Pymble Ladies College staff and students were delighted to revisit Orange to attend the Australian National Field Days (AFND) exhibition and to reconnect with the local community.
The college also took the opportunity to host a relaxed social event to catch up with past, present and future Pymble students and their families.
The event was held at the Lord Anson Public House in Orange on the evening of Thursday, October 25.
It was attended by a host of key Pymble staff including director of boarding, Carolyn Burgess, boarding house supervisor, Kathryn Glover, director community engagement, Kelly Mancey, alumni relations manager, Katrina Corcoran, and community marketing co-ordinator, Jackie Garment.
The 2019 boarding head prefect, Phoebe Kinsey from Trangie, and her parents David and Janita, were also in attendance.
Jono Duff and Sally Walker, parents of Pymbles 2019 boarding deputy head prefect, Isabelle Duff, also attended the event.
Mrs Walker is also an ex-Pymble student from the Class of 1989.
Other alumni at the social event included Margaret Schwebel (head prefect in 1976).
Mother and daughter Sue Evans (Class of 1974) and Sarah Evans (Class of 2000) were in attendance, as were Julie Elliott (Class of 1976) and Meg Kierath (Class of 1958 and grandparent of current Pymble boarders, Amelia and Brianna Kierath).
We have a strong affinity with Orange and the Central West region through our past and present boarding families, many of whom are local to this area, director community engagement, Kelly Mancey said.
It was lovely to reconnect with so many familiar faces and to meet new families we will be back as soon as possible!
