A MAN and a woman have been arrested in NSW overnight following investigations into a vehicle theft and firearm offences in Queensland.

A Landcruiser, stolen from an Ironpot address in Queensland on Monday, was involved in a traffic incident with a member of the public at Durong on Monday. Police allege the stolen vehicle (similar to the LandCruiser pictured) rammed the other car, and the male driver produced a rifle.

A 30-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested in the Hunter Valley and are expected to be extradited to Queensland.

Acting on information received, the man and woman were arrested at a Muswellbrook hotel during a police operation.

The man and woman are expected to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court next week.

Crime can also be reported to Policelink on 131 444 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers, on 1800 333 000.
