The 2000 head yarding of goats from Condobolin, Eugowra, Narrabri, Mudgee and local met with strong competition at Tuesday’s Dubbo goat sale.
Only one Victorian processor was missing, but as many as three restockers pushed other processors for much f the quality lines among the pens.
Sale agent, Joe Portelli of PT Lord Dakin, said there was more restocker activity than the previous sale.
Boer nannies sold from $85 to $310 while bucks made from $90 to $340 while Boer wethers found keen competition to sell from $65 to $120.
Heavy bush billies sold from $86 to $118 while lighter types made from $45 to $65.
Mr Portelli said he last saw prices like that about five to six years ago “when the export job was humming”.
