We put the call out for you, the readers, to share your Christmas spirit with us and show us how you are decorating the farm for the festive season.
Each year as we drive around we see amazing decorations and structures built at farm gates and front yards celebrating Christmas and we wanted you to share your efforts with us.
We’ve been amazed by the responses we’ve seen so far – from Kate Dixon who lives near Echuca and has spent eight weeks creating her master piece showcasing the Grinch is trying to destroy Christmas by spraying presents, to Melinda Davies, at Longreach, who said the Silsoe Road has been running a competition to spirit up spirits in the continued drought.
“Now every year "The Ranch" sets up something different,” she said.
“Although we doubt many people drive past,” she joked.
She said the elves (you can see them in the gallery above) were her children – a toddler and twins, but said the family’s efforts didn’t compare to others in the region.
