Traditional methods of plunge dipping have been doing a great job in getting rid of lice, but it seems that re-infestation is occurring on an ever increasing scale.
Farmers can no longer wait, especially if they have long wool, to deal with lice.
According to a company spokesman, the Electrodip is so quick and easy to use.
“Electrodip gets through about 1,500 sheep per hour with sides that adjust automatically to the size of the sheep,” the spokesman said.
“It uses only the amount of chemical you need to be retained on the sheep.
“With the Electrodip, you control the timing and volume of the treatments.
“You can deal to the problem as soon as it occurs instead of waiting for a contractor.
“Fresh chemical is used every time so there is no decrease in efficacy.
“After extensive travelling throughout Australia and on farm feedback, we have developed nozzles that increase the coverage around the sheep with no wool on.
“We also have wheels that can be fitted to existing pump and motors for ease of movement and a leadout ramp to help with animal flow.
“The Electrodip has been proven effective by independent trials, farmers, veterinarians and contractors in many countries around the world over the past 30 years.”
