Central Tablelands Local Land Services is hosting workshops to help small farms get smarter.
More than two-thirds of the approximately 14,000 landholders in the Central Tablelands Local Land Services region own or manage properties of 150 hectares or less, and more than 7000 of those rural holdings are only 50 hectares or smaller in size.
“We know many landholders don’t live every day on their farms, and it isn’t always their primary source of income,” Land Services Officer Kate McCarthy said.
“We want landholders to have the services and information useful to them, rather than events targeted at large scale traditional farmers."
Land and Livestock workshops will be held on Friday evenings from 6-9 pm on:
- Friday, February 22 - Duntryleague Golf Club, Woodward St, Orange; and
- Friday, March 8 - Mudgee Palate Restaurant, 1 Sydney Rd, Mudgee.
