The Corrigan family offered 92 Angus bulls at their annual autumn on-property sale at Culcairn and realised a top price of $24,000 with a complete clearance and sale average of $7070.65.
The top priced bull, Rennylea N473, a 19 month-old son of HPCA Intensity out of a daughter of Te Mania Berkley weighed 750kg and has a scrotal measurement 39cm, in the top one percent for 200 day weight and top ten percent IMF.
He was purchased by Doug Tozer, Onslow Angus, Wallendbeen and Alastair Day, Allendale Angus, Bordertown, SA in partnership.
"I loved his hindquarter and sound conformation," Mr Day said.
Mr Tozer said the overall balance and thickness of hindquarter and lovely soft skin attracted his attention.
"His good textured skin and hair pattern correlate to eating quality and soft meat," Mr Tozer said.
Excellent prices included $15,000 paid for Rennylea N903 by Balmoral Park Angus, Yea, Victoria; $15,000 paid for Rennylea N1165 by S Camarri and Co, Nannup, WA and $20,000 paid for Rennylea N845 by McRae Pastoral Co, Goondiwindi, QLD.

Volume buyers included L.S Kelly and Co, Hexham, Vic who returned to buy 12 bulls for $6917 average price, and Shadowgrove Pty Ltd, Khancoban who selected four sires for $9000 average.
Stud co-principal Lucinda Corrigan thought the sale results were very good considering the dry autumn.
"In a season like this we are delighted with the support with many repeat clients securing their selections," Mrs Corrigan said.
"We had bulls sell into SA, WA, Tasmania and Victoria as well as NSW."
The sale was interfaced with AuctionsPlus and was conducted by Paull and Scollard Landmark, Wodonga with Landmark studstock auctioneers Andrew Wishart and Peter Godbolt wielding the gavel.
