The Moss Vale AH&I Society celebrated its annual show on the weekend with strong attendances especially from the younger crowd and a pavilion overflowing with entries.
An exhibit entitled "animals and vegetables" provided some funny and interesting exhibits, with local children celebrating horticulture and art and proving food can be fun. There were also strong entries in the cake and flower sections, the Southern Highlands of course famous for its beautiful gardens.
Wet weather stayed away for most of Saturday and for the Grand Parade that featured three alpacas that were inclined to go more slow than fast.
The new CWA Moss Vale evening branch also had its first public tent at the show. Throsby MP Stephen Jones was on hand to officially open the show.
