Celebrated Charolais breeder Glenlea Charolais will be holding an online auction of over 100 of their premium cattle in April, and savvy buyers have every chance of picking up a unique purchase.

With a reputation for excellence spanning over four decades, Glenlea Beef has refined their herd, making the cattle highly coveted both at home and overseas.

After the success of their Sale of the Decade in January 2017, the stud is aiming to provide some relief from the tough conditions facing many across the country with a follow-up auction on Thursday, April 18.

"It's our Drought Buster sale," Glenlea Charolais stud principal, Roderick Binny said.

"The sale is incorporating the complete dispersal of Glenlea's Charolais daughter stud - Orara Waterfall Charolais. It's cattle we'd normally keep to expand our own herd. We've decided to go ahead of a break in the season as we hope it will provide extra good value."

The online auction will showcase the cattle and deliver existing and potential clients with one-off opportunities.

All sale lots will available for personal inspection between 10am and 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14 at the Waterfall property, 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour. Direct flights to Coffs Harbour are available from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Always ready to help others achieve their business aims, Glenlea Beef is presenting buyers with great incentives to get ahead and "take advantage of when the market turns and the drought breaks," Roderick said.

"We're giving customers the tools to make purchases without having to put themselves under more management pressure than they already are."

So what's in store for potential buyers?

Incentive #1

Approved customers can pay 50 per cent of purchase price under normal terms with Elders post auction. The remaining 50 per cent can be paid in six months direct to the vendor, with no interest. This must be pre-arranged prior to the auction and can be made with the vendor or Elders.

Incentive #2

Glenlea can hold autumn cows and AI them after Easter, as well as run them with a stud sire. They can be delivered mid-June after two cycles with the bull and via arrangement, these animals can stay for a longer period. The 14 show prospect heifers will have the same treatment as the autumn cows.

Incentive #3

Spring calvers will be weaned post-sale, calves can be retained and supplemented on a costs only basis, while cows can be retained and run on grass by arrangement with the vendor.

"You can buy anything out of the sale with 50 per cent of the sale price and you don't have to take them home. It's all part of the wider service Glenlea Beef provides to both stud and commercial clients," Roderick said.

"Limited AI will occur in the northern zone before spring. This auction makes it easy to buy leading genetics with no extra management pressure."
