A patchwork of cracks line the earth.
The dams are empty.
But there among the dry conditions there are those quietly toiling away.
They are hand feeding stock.
They are checking water troughs.
They are fixing machinery.
And they are mustering livestock to be loaded onto trucks to sell as the feed is running out.
But they are right there by their parents side helping them get through this prolonged dry.
They are our little bush kids, the unsung heroes of this drought who are waiting for the heavens to be open, in fact they are praying for the heavens to open so their farms can thrive again.
These amazing young people have inspired us at The Land to dedicate a tribute to our bush kids - our unsung heroes.
