The fifth annual Inverell Club Antiques and Collectables Auction to be held on Saturday, April 27, has a number of estate items sure to be of interest to rural collectors.

In particular an estate collection of dingo/wild dog traps will be a feature of the sale.

Based around several estates, the sale has a strong rural focus.

Also included in the auction is a silver fob medal awarded in 1878 by the Inverell Farmers Ploughing Club for the "Best work by a youth under 16".

There are also several cast tractor seats, including a Howard, McKay and Millar with the McKay Sunshine circa 1910 urging consumers to "Buy Australian Made" - nothing changes!

The sale has become a regular feature of the northern NSW collectors calendar, and proves equally popular as a social occasion as well as the actual action.

The Inverell Club is a heritage building more than 100 years old and funds raised at the auction, through commission, go directly into maintenance of the building.
