The Lucas family, Reiland Angus, Killimicat Station, Tumut, achieved a solid sale result on Tuesday when 55 bulls sold from 64 offered to average $6309 and top at $16,000.
Speaking after the sale, stud principal Mark Lucas said he and his family were thrilled with the result.
"We know it has been a tough season, but we are gratified with the loyal support for our breeding program," he said.
"Our bulls are run under a fairly vigorous selection process and although they have been supplementary fed silage, we want to ensure they will meet the standards required by our clients."
Top price of $16,000 was paid by repeat buyer Judith Houston, Towong Pty Ltd, Albury, for Reiland Norseman, a 21-month-old son of Esslemont Lotto.

Mrs Houston said she was attracted to her future sire for his outstanding conformation backed up by impressive estimated breeding values in 600-day weight, eye muscle and intramuscular fat combined with a low birthweight.
"We are trying to lift the IMF in our herd but still maintain the good mature growth rate," she said.
With a weight of 840kg and scrotum size of 40cm, his 600-day weight sat in the top 10 per cent at +127, EMA was +5.7 while he was in the top five per cent for IMF at +3.3.
Mrs Houston also selected a bull for $12,000, included in her draft of four new sires averaging $11,000.
Another significant sale was $14,000 paid by G.J and F.A Paton, Corryong, for Reiland Ned, a son of Reiland Hilary weighing 982kg with a 43cm scrotum.
Other repeat buyers included Riverview Wallah, Rugby, who added to their sire battery with three new sires for a $8333 average and Houston Pastoral Co, Burrowye, Victoria, who selected a draft of six for an $8000 average.
Longtime supporter, Taranee Pastoral Co took three bulls home for an average price of $6833, T.E.F Hughes purchased a bull for $9000 through Elders Goulburn while Hopewood Pastoral, Coolac, paid $7500 for their selection. The sale was interfaced with AuctionsPlus, who bought six bulls, and was settled by Elders Tumut. GTSM's Lincoln McKinlay was auctioneer.
