Master Lachlan Potts, 8, Casino, may have stolen the show but his Supreme Champion Boar of Show was edged out by the sow on the day.

A four-year "veteran" of the show ring, Lachlan knows how to the play to the crowd, harnessing applause like a seasoned professional.

His young Berkshire boar - Balmoral Stockman G 81, son of sire Riverglen Starman E113  and out of Balmoral Chantelle F73, aged four to six months - was beaten by the rather larger sow.
