AN 18-year-old new Corriedale breeder was awarded the grand champion ram title at the Sydney Royal Show in only his first show.
Katrina Abbott, Boolina, Wambool, only established her Corriedale stud in 2016 and has a flock of 15 ewes. Her winning ram was picked from the six ram lambs she bred and had been out working prior to his Sydney debut.
The grand champion ewe title went the way of the Roseville stud, Kingsvale, much to their surprise. The ewe had been shown at Canberra but hadn't gained much attention in her previous showings.
