The Hereford cattle industry braved the cold to come together for the annual national show and sale, held over two days, in Wodonga.
The show saw Victorian stud, Tarcombe was given the grand champion ribbon for their 15-month-old bull, Tarcombe Justin. The young bull won his top of the drop division before beating out the older competition to take the main prize.
In the sale the top price was $40,000 for Mawarra Herefords', 1018 kilograms bull, Mawarra Rhinestone. The bull was bought by Yarram Park stud, Willaura.
The sale had a clearance rate of 81 per cent, with 114 bulls sold to an average of $7078.
