The Marthaguy Picnic Races, which are held at Quambone, a small village situated 55 kilometres west of Coonamble provided a great day out for the family.
Not only was there the standard picnic hospitality of a free luncheon which was sponsored by DMC Meat and Seafood from Dubbo, face painting and a jumping castle there was also a petting zoo which included a donkey and alpaca.
Danny Hopkins from Quambone was named the best dressed boy and Adelaide Turnbull from "The Marra", Brewarrina, the best dressed girl, while her mother Kellie Turnbull the best dressed lady.
The title of Miss Marthaguy went to Ellen Perry who is from Marthaguy and Tom Gadsby from Gulargambone was the judge's pick for the best dressed gent.
Best millinery went to Janet Perry "Sandhurst" Coonamble.
