An overcast and chilly day did not deter racegoers from the annual Parkes Picnic Races, with hundreds turning out for a day of racing and fashion.
On the catwalk, Parkes local Nic Dolbel was this year's best dressed contemporary lady while Tommy Jeffs from Canowindra was named the best dressed gentleman.
Michelle Meyers from Mudgee was the judge's pick for the best dressed lady and Josie Anderson from Cobar took home the prizes for the best millinery.
On the track the feature race of the day, the McDonalds Parkes, Forbes and Young Coradgery Cup over 1400m was won by the Darryl Rolfe, Canberra trained Waldo Waldorf. The five year old bay gelding by Salade out of the Woodman mare, Evening Charmer was ridden by Wagga Wagga based jockey, Bryan Murphy.
