All Landini tractors have a little birthmark, which is as significant to farmers all around the world as a jewellery hallmark symbol.
The OLF (Officine Landini Fabbrico) factory stamp is a guarantee of Landini authenticity and represents the company's 135-year cultural history.
Inlon managing director Jim Jardim explained what this historical mark meant to Landini tractor owners.
"The Landini factory first opened its doors in Italy in 1884, and the town of Fabbrico has grown around this major employer," Mr Jardim said.
"Their first tractor engine was built in 1910 and to this day, Landini prides itself on being a true tractor manufacturer.
"They employ approximately 1,800 people across four Italian plants and are unaffected by the current trend for outsourcing.
"Transmissions and axles are built by Landini employees.
"This also includes the machining housings, shafts and gears.
"Heat-treating and assembly are done in-house, while cabins are welded from components and finished and painted on site.
"Landini's specialist orchard, vineyard and high clearance tractors along with durable utility tractors roll off the tractor assembly lines, complete with the OLF factory stamp to proclaim their heritage.
"Landini has a strong culture of quality that has sadly been lost in the world of outsourced manufacturing.
"The OLF badge is regarded as proof of the pride and commitment that every Landini employee has in the production process.
"We recently took Landini dealers to Italy to get behind the scenes at the factories.
"I've visited many tractor manufacturers around the world, and I always notice the cleanliness and well-organised nature of Landini factories with their attention to detail and quality focus.
"While in Italy, we visited the Frescobaldi vineyard in Tuscany with original buildings that date back to 900AD.
"The Tuscan farming group is still family owned and headed by the 35th generation Frescobaldi.
"Its first tractor, a Landini Velite from the 1940s, with its prominent OLF badge, is fully restored and proudly on display.
"To this day, the group exclusively uses Landini tractors across their farms."
Eddy and Tanis Sheather from Sheathers Machinery, who accompanied Inlon to the Landini factories, commented on the in-house focus.
"In an ever-increasing world of outsourcing, it was surprising to see the mix of sustaining local employment and using robotic technology."
