INTERNATIONAL Animal Health Products, the manufacturer of Ausmectin cattle pour-on, has continued its support of the beef industry by sponsoring Northern Beef Week.
The Australian-owned business has been the major sponsor for the event for the past decade, and is also sponsoring Sheep Week, run from June 17 to 27, and Southern Beef Week, to be held from July 29 to August 4.
The company recently launched BioWorma and Livamol with BioWorma, the world's first biological control for grazing animals that targets parasitic roundworm larvae such as barber's pole worm.
CEO Chris Lawlor said representatives from the business will be among the visitors to studs during their open days.
"We'll try to cover as many of the open days as we can throughout beef week, and we look forward to catching up with farmers," Mr Lawlor said.
"A lot of these guys, we've dealt with for a long time and we certainly feel their pain as far as drought's concerned. It's a tough time for producers in the region, and we feel that as long as we continue to do these things, we're showing our support for farmers."
International Animal Health manufactures a range of quality products for cattle, horses, sheep, goat, pigs and poultry.
Ausmectin cattle pour-on is a ready-to-use solution of ivermectin, which acts selectively in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells resulting in paralysis and death of the parasite.
