FOR the third consecutive week Dubbo showground has been the venue for two more beef breed nationals making the central NSW city a most important hub for beef cattle seedstock marketing.
On Tuesday, Red Angus and Simmental breeds joined forces for the third year to conduct their national bull and female show.
A total of 10 Red Angus studs exhibited 24 bulls and five females while 16 Simmental studs paraded 16 bulls and 14 females before judge Robert Hutchinson, Livestock Transport coordinator, Long Gully Livestock feedlot, Glenrowan, Victoria and associate, Chelsea Rayner, Kidman Down Simmental and Poll Shorthorn studs, Sheffield, Tasmania.
Junior champions were in favour with Cargo-based Goondoola stud of the Powe family exhibiting both junior and grand champion bull and female of the Red Angus section while junior and grand champion Simmental female was shown by Luke Adams, Loaderry stud, Londonderry.
Senior and grand Simmental bull was Settler Nelson, shown by Richard Wilkinson, Settler stud, Bringelly.
