Walgett frocks up for annual picnic horse races

Don't miss these photos from Walgett Races.

The 2019 Geronimo Farm Equipment - New Holland, PJ O'Brien Memorial Cup over 1400m was won by the Garry Lunn, Dubbo trained Pyramid Prince.

The seven-year-old brown gelding is owned by the very popular shearing contractor from Carinda, Wayne "Bronco" Lunn and was ridden by former Gulargambone boy, Andrew Banks. Miles Swain from Carinda and Isabella Walford from Walgett were this year's best dressed boy and girl.

The most hilarious outfit, that amuses but does not offend, went to Jason Clarke and his little leprechaun friend from Walgett. Donald and Tracey Grant from "Bundabarina" Collarenebri were the judges pick for best dressed couple while Emma Inglis from Walgett was named the best contemporary dressed lady. The prizes for the best dressed gent and best classically dressed lady went to Chris Clemson and Rhonda Bradley both from Walgett.
