The 141st winner of the Bligh Picnic Cup at Mudgee was Butter Toast who is trained in Wellington by Michael Mulholland.
The five-year-old brown gelding by Written Tycoon was ridden by 16-year-old apprentice, Steven Kehoe who has just moved from Wyong to Port Macquarie.
In the fashions in the field, Michelle Meyers from Mudgee was named the best dressed lady for the third time this week with Mindy McDouall from Armidale the runner-up. The prize for the best ladies hat went to Mudgee local, Carmen Holden-Smith. The title of best dressed man was awarded to Hugh Bowman from Merotherie, Dunedoo.
