The biennial two-day Grassland Conference will take place in Gunnedah on July 3 and 4 with a focus on building livestock systems for resilience and 'swinging back to forages'.
The event will include presentations and on-farm visits with topics including climate change and variability, economics, livestock production systems and nutrition as well as livestock and plant genetics.
Grassland NSW Conference convenor George Truman said the conference was a premier event for producers managing pasture and livestock systems.
"It is a two-day event that will educate, inform, connect and provide opportunities to consider to improve your own business," he said.
"The drought is still biting and many producers are still very busy feeding, the organisers of the conference recognise the situation and have put together a producer panel, to discuss how they managed the drought and the opportunities they were able take advantage of."
A conference dinner will feature Greg Mills of GoAhead Business Solutions as the guest speaker. He will address the topic of social license.
