A MASSIVE crowd was on hand to see the Mark Ward, Condobolin-trained Gadfly take out the 2019 WIN Television Duck Creek Picnic Cup.
The five-year-old bay gelding was ridden by Angela Taylor who drove from Wyong for the day's racing.
In her first ever trip to the Nyngan Duck Pond, Angela not only won the feature race, she also was aboard the Wayne Marsden, Menindee-trained Late Return winning the first ever running of the Chris Elder Memorial.
Chris, better known as "Fox" to the Nyngan locals was not only a legend at the Duck Pond; his smiling face has been missed around all the country tracks.
Kiri Rivera from Condobolin was named the best dressed child at Duck Creek, while Emma Bacchetto, from Canberra, was the judges' pick for the most fashionable filly.
The titles of most elegant lady and best dressed gent to went Nyngan locals, Nicole Donnelly from "Goree" and Doug Menzies from "Summerlea".
