Sarah Nesbitt from Currigindi Charolais, Cooma, was awarded the Charolais Society of Australia International Youth Ambassador during the National Charolais events in Dubbo last week.
Sarah, 22, will spend a month in Canada as her prize with participation at the Canadian Charolais Youth Conference.
International Charolais and Charbray have a program where youth delegates from participating countries attend a host country's youth event with Canada the host last year with 12 delegates from nine countries.
The program establishes networks between international Charolais youth.
Miss Nesbitt has already had international exposure with four months with the Collins family of Rauriki Charolais in New Zealand, and said she had a strong desire to strengthen her involvement with the Charolais breed and continue to develop her stud and career.
"I am looking to build upon any skills and knowledge that I can and am determined to make the most of every opportunity and experience that is available to me," she said.
Charolais Society President Brendan Scheiwe said the international ambassador award was a tremendous opportunity for our Australian youth to aspire to.
"It offers our ambassadors a unique opportunity to broaden their networks and skill set but also to return and contribute to our Australian youth programs in the future.
"Sarah is an outstanding candidate and we are confident she will represent Australia with distinction."
