CASINO Prince must rate one of the State's best value proven sires on offer this stud season. His advertised fee of $6600 does not reflect his 344-plus winners of over 1200 wins for more than $40 million in progeny earnings.
By champion Australian sire Flying Spur, Casino Prince added two new Group winners to this season's list - The Candy Man (won BRC Premier's Cup) and filly Baccarat Baby (Sunshine Coast Guineas) last month.
Standing at Vinery Stud, Scone, one of his stable companions is another same-priced sire - More Than Ready son Pluck, his Port Macquarie-prepared galloper Awesome Pluck vying to be his next stakes winner and inclusion in the $1.3m The Kosciuszko in October.
The celebrated Stallions 2019 publication displayed 19 stallions standing for under a $10,000 fee.
The evergreen Magic Albert and The Brothers War both at $6600 and Duporth $8800 (at Kooringal Stud, Wagga Wagga), Bon Hoffa (Bowness, Young) and Denman (Twin Hills, Cootamundra) each $8800, and Dane Shadow (Kitchwin Hills, Scone) are among value proven sires between five and $10,000.
Further north there is Charge Forward, $8800, (Murrulla, Wingen), while out west is US-bred Mosayter (Argyle Thoroughbreds, Orange), and at Carwoola near Canberra there is Eurozone, $7700, who has been relocated to Bellereve Stud.
There is also an array of unproven classy young stallions priced between $5000 and $10,000 including Odyssey Moon at $8800 (Twin Hills), former Queenslander Furnaces $5500 (Allandale Park, near Bathurst), and Widden Stud trio Stratum Star and Supido $9900 each, and Outreach at $7700.
