Gundagai will hold a party on August 17 to "celebrate the return of our much loved Aussie icon, the Dog on the Tuckerbox".
"The celebrations will run from 9am to 1pm with a great line up of entertainment, market stalls, live music and more," the Gundagai Visitor Information Centre said.
The statue was pushed over in a vandalism attack late last month.
The party will feature regional food and wine and children's activities.
Late yesterday the dog had yet to be returned to its mount on the tuckerbox.
