EASTERN Spreaders will again display the latest Marshall Multispread technology at this year's Henty Machinery Field Days.
Since its first release from the Roesner Factory in Western Australia in the early 1980s, the Marshall Multispread brand has been sold and supported by Eastern Spreaders.
Production numbers of Multispread machines now total more than 10,000.
Constant improvements to the machine design and integration with variable rate technology and Loadcell weighing systems, has ensured Multispread products have kept pace with the changes in farming practices.
The Marshall Multispread range can be integrated with the i4M control and monitoring system.
This provides an accurate and cost effective variable rate fertiliser solution.
"The i4M system controls the speed of the spreader feedbelt to both adjust and set the application rate using a PWM valve," Roesner technical director, Matthew Roesner said.
"The belt control is precise, ensuring that changes in target rates read from prescription maps are responsive."
Loadcells are connected to the i4M controller to provide feedback on the amount of fertiliser in the hopper, assisting calibration.
A stationary calibration test can be carried out to ensure the machine is setup correctly before starting work, with the calibration factor then monitored by the Loadcells during spreading.
Control of the i4M system is via an Android or Apple tablet and the system can run on any tractor that has the required oil flow.
"Because the i4M system can run on any tractor, it allows more flexibility at busy times of the year like seeding," Mr Roesner.
Prescription maps are transferred to the tablet via the i4M website.
There are no subscription costs or unlock codes required to use the map transfer features.
The i4M system has rapidly gained popularity with farmers.
Broden Holland, Young, NSW, has been using the i4M system for the past two seasons to carry out variable rate applications of lime and manure.
"The i4M app and prescription map transfer system are easy to use," Mr Holland said.
"The accuracy of the calibration means no more under or over application of fertilisers."
Eastern Spreaders is committed to the Marshall Multispread brand and the service of its existing customers.
Eastern Spreaders offers fast dispatch of spare parts, a dedicated customer support team and factory reconditioning service from its base in Kerang, Victoria.
