GODOLPHIN'S two properties - Kelvinside near Aberdeen, and Northwood Park near Seymour in Victoria, are welcoming the first foals of Ribchester and Impending, respectively, and who both possess Group 1 winning race records.
Champion European miler in 2016 and 2017 when winning six races in four countries, Ribchester won four Group 1 races highlighted by the Queen Anne Stakes (in record time as a four-year-old) and the Lockinge Stakes in England. Such was the bay horse's soundness, durability and consistency he also landed with eight placings including in six Group 1 races.
Irish bred, Ribchester continues the sireline of world influential Mr Prospector, via champions Gone West, Zafonic, and his own sire Iffraaj, who from southern hemisphere shuttle seasons became a leading New Zealand sire.
Among Iffraaj's familiar race names in Australia includes Group 1 winners Turn Me Loose (now at stud), Gingernuts, Jungle Cat and Jon Snow.
