Utilising the strength of its Wagga teams, Telstra had a strong presence at the Henty Machinery Field Days again this year.
Staff from two stores helped the telecommunications giant field any questions by customers who may not often have the chance for a face-to-face visit.
Regional engagement manager NSW/ACT, Josh Fulwood, said the Henty Field Days were an important event for Telstra for that very reason.
"It is important that customers get the opportunity to see a team member face-to-face when they can," Mr Fulwood said.
"Many of our valued customers are from rural areas and don't get a chance to go into the store.
"The Henty Machinery Field Days is the perfect opportunity for them to ask their questions directly to one of our team."
In remote areas, black spots or low coverage can sometimes be a problem.
Mr Fulwood said the team at Henty had the solution.
"We focused on network extending devices," he said.
"Customers were very interested in devices you install in your car or house to boost coverage.
"These devices are easy to install and are a great way for our customers to get the network they need."
Mr Fulwood said there were also a lot of enquiries in the National Broadband Network (NBN).
This year at Henty, Telstra partnered with NSW Farmers to do advanced network enquiries.
