Capertee Inspirations (aka Elizabeth McKay) is again presenting one-off clothing at the Australian National Field Days.
The theme this year is Light and Air.
"The pieces float, reflecting the light and highlighting the lustre of natural fibre," Ms McKay said.
"Specially designed for the 2019 ANFD, a range of lightweight tops have been created demonstrating how wool and felt need not be confined to the winter months.
"Nor is felting bulky and hard - it can and does float on air.
"For sale will also be silk scarves that float, play with positive and negative space and shimmer in the light."
Natural fibre is an important element of her work, using wool and alpaca with embellishments in silk, mohair, hemp, embroidery and beading creating extraordinary texture and lustre.
"Natural fibre is a joy to work with and I love the effects that can be created by the felting process," Ms McKay said. "Each piece takes much time to create.
"From development of the concept, hand-dying fibre and fabric, and of course the production process can take hours of effort, care and thought.
"Each piece is an individual item, and so no two pieces will be the same."
While the natural environment of the Capertee Valley inspires her work through interpreting natural forms and atmosphere, Ms McKay is also inspired by the landscapes, architecture and history of other countries.
