Team Handypiece are back from promoting their product at the Royal Highland Show in Scotland and look forward to the Australian National Field Days.
"The Handypiece is the Rolls-Royce version of portable shearing and tail trimming equipment, and still available at a reasonable price," David Short said.
"Ask yourself one question when you are looking for a field days special this year.
"Do you want a portable sheep shearing/tail trimmer that is NZ designed and made, solid and durable, slim to hold, reliable and robust, easy to care for, is a traditional hand piece which uses standard comb and cutters, and has a long life lithium battery?
"The greatest benefit of the Handypiece is that you can work anywhere at any time without mains power.
"Farmers of all abilities are able to keep on top of those dirty jobs, resulting in better animal health and all round farming efficiency."
The Handypiece Pro has the added feature of variable speed from 2400 - 3500 rpm.
Dagging, crutching and trimming cows tails needs a mid-speed of 2700 rpm, while to get a nice cut while shearing, wind it all of the way up to 3500 rpm.
Now alpaca shearers can use a traditional handpiece that is slim to hold, but with the speed that they can reduce to the same as a clipper.
The new motor now means the battery lasts even longer, crutching 300 to 400 sheep from one charge.
