Casino Show cancelled
The Casino Show Commitee has cancelled this year's show, slated for today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday).
Fires in the region led the committee to keep the gates closed this year.
Instead the committee asks that neighbours visit each other and offer support in this difficult time.
In a statement the commitee said: "At the heart of our show are farmers. Right now, many are hurting from devastating losses through fire and concern for the current fire threat.
"The showgrounds will remain available for large animals and families affected by the fires," the committee said.
