The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) Youth group is offering one lucky school a fully funded, four-day excursion to the Sydney Royal Show.
The program aims to connect rural youth with the opportunities available at the show, including behind-the-scenes experiences and invaluable networking events, but the RAS is urging schools to enter with applications closing today.
RAS Youth Group chairman, Tobie Payne, said the aim of the program was to improve access to the show for rural and remote high school students across NSW.
"Location and costs shouldn't be a limiting factor to why students can't experience what the Sydney Royal Easter Show has to offer," Mr Payne said.
"Now in its second year, the program gives students behind the scenes access to all areas of the show with a strong agricultural focus.
"We hope this program will open student's eyes to the opportunities available, and inspire them to pursue a career that contributes to rural Australia.
"I strongly encourage all rural and regional schools to apply."
The selected school will enjoy exclusive access to the show, including the iconic grand parade, a VIP entertainment experience, Showman's Guild tour and numerous networking opportunities with key industry leaders.
Return transport, accommodation and meals are all included for the winners.
Open to students from year 7-12, All Roads to the Royal runs from Monday, April 6, to Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Maximum capacity is 40 people, including teachers and guardians.
Designed by the RAS Youth Group, a group of young professionals aged 18-35 who are passionate about rural NSW, the program aims to inspire the next generation of agriculturalists.
