A NARROW band of storms overnight across parts of the Central West Slopes and Tablelands has dumped falls up to 25 millimetres.
This exceeded expectations with yesterday's forecast predicting a 60 per cent chance of 1-5mm for the area.
Rainfall recordings to 9am Tuesday through the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) indicate Parkes airport measured 25mm.
While 10mm was recorded at Orange Ag, some properties in the Cargo and Cudal areas recorded over 25mm in their rain gauges.
Dubbo measured 16mm, Manildra 7mm, and Gulgong 8mm.
Some properties around Cowra recorded 12mm, Bigga 8mm and Taragla measured 5mm.
While this rainfall was not widespread, BoM also recorded small rainfalls across some areas affected by the bushfires.
Nullo Mountain measured 10mm and Kurrajong Heights recorded 6mm.
Fire affected areas across the Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, South Coast and Snowy Mountain also received some rain.
Cabramurra measured 6mm, Adaminaby 4mm, Thredbo 6mm, Bombala 5mm and Bega 9mm.
