If there is one thing that has shone through with the horrendous bushfires across NSW and Victoria, it is the amazing spirit shown by so many.
And our firefighters have been the epitome of this.
These brave men and women have left their own homes and families, and willingly put themselves in danger for their communities.
They have given their time, tireless effort and, in a few tragic cases, their lives to save homes, businesses, livestock, pets, native animals and lives.
We can never pay them back for what they have done.
But we can show them how much their dedication and sacrifice means to us.
