Three-year-old Wyatt Wythes gives a thumbs up for a firey. Wyatt lives right near the Kerry Ridge fire near Rylstone NSW, which has reached a massive 323,000 hectares. It has joined with the Gospers Mountain fire, which has grown to over half a million hectares. It is thanks to firefighters, along with property owners and managers, including his father, that the fire was stopped before it could burn more farmland.

If there is one thing that has shone through with the horrendous bushfires across NSW and Victoria, it is the amazing spirit shown by so many.
