Bryan Dixon's Song One, ridden by Michael Heagney wins the Kate Smith Memorial Cup.


The 2019 Kate Smith Memorial Cup at Gilgandra had the locals smiling when local trainer Bryan Dixon had all three of his runners cross the line ahead of the rest of the field.

Song One ridden by Michael Heagney was the first of the local runners followed by Outta Space and Yvette Lewis with Sugar Lane and Chelsea Ings coming in third.

Off the track, Harrison King from Gilgandra and Catrina Caton from Rawsonville were named the best dressed colt and filly.

Sheree Spora, from Studholme, Gulargambone, was the judges' pick for the title of best dressed lady while best dressed man went to Cody Jaffrey from Crookwell.
