THE NSW Yard Dog Association has thrown its support behind producers in need and organised a charity online auction.
Kicking off at 5pm today and running until 5pm Sunday on AuctionsPlus, the auction features 67 donated lots valued at more than $45,000.
All proceeds will be donated to the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners who are currently providing hay to producers hit by bushfire and will travel to Armidale on Australia Day for their annual drought-induced hay run.
The auction features everything from caps, dog collars, service fees, pups and dog school attendances, which were all donated by NSW Yard Dog Association members along with Queensland, South Australian and Western Australian support.
Executive secretary Felicity Nolan said the response had been overwhelming.
"My partner and I...have a litter of pups at the moment and I wondered if we could donate them to a cause," she said.
"The hay runners are helping farmers with the bushfire and nobody was doing anything at the time and so we went right, let's do it.
"We expected to have 10 lots, if that, but everyone was just so generous."
The auction can be found by visiting AuctionsPlus.
