BY THE end of the day all 220 attendees were fired-up with enthusiasm and energised into planning for their future at the inaugural Young Farmers Business Program Conference at Dubbo last Friday.
All due to an exciting agenda featuring several of the nation's top motivators and mentors, each encouraging young people of agricultural backgrounds to strive for their "piece" of the future.
Among the speaker lineup were Yellow Brick Road executive chairman, Mark Bouris encouraging all to become entrepreneurs to succeed; former Wallabies captain and now wealth advisor Stirling Mortlock talked of coping in times of adversity, but focusing on goal setting - the similarities between success in sport and business; and Isobel Knight talked on succession planning and strategies to start the conversation.
A panel session with mixed farmer Jarrod Amery, fisherman Paul Aquilina and insect farmer Olympia Yarger closed off the afternoon session.
