THE annual show and sale for the Bromar and Bayer Mudgee Merino Ram Selling Association was held at the Mudgee showgrounds recently.
Claiming the top price was the supreme champion Laraben Poll Merino ram fetching $4750. The ram sold to Queenlee Merinos, Uralla.
A total of 10 studs including Laraben, Demondrille, Merryville, Bocoble, Trynow, Grathlyn, Pomanara, Glanna, Winona and Airlie offered 37 rams with 21 selling for an average of $2190.
The Loneragan family, Piambong, took home four rams to average $2563 while the McMahon family, Oberon, secured two rams for a top price of $4000 and an average of $3000.
The sale was conducted by Nutrien Mudgee with Rick Power controlling the bids.
