Champion Angus heifers, 246kg, bred by Terry and Margaret Wyatt, Sunnyside, Guyra, made 480c/kg or $1183 going to Ben Baker, Ben Lomand. A lighter pen made 484c/kg going to Steve and Robyn Johnston, Deepwater.
The Wyatt's heaviest weaner steers, 246kg, made 514c/kg or $1268 going onto grass at Walcha through Brendan Kelly, Kellco at Dalby, who dominated the bidding on steers.
Tim Grob, Glen Innes, sold Angus weaner steers with Dulverton blood, 243kg, for 545c/kg or $1322, going to the Armidale district through Shute and Bell.
"Considering the lack of European Accredited calves we were blown away by the yard average of 497c/kg at 217kg," said agent Shad Bailey.
Kubba Jimba partnership sold lighter steers, also with Dulverton blood, 196kg for 554c/kg or $1088.
Heavier calves, 333kg, EU accredited from Yarraford Trust, Malabogie, Dundee, reached a bid of 452c/kg or $1505 going onto feed at Dalby through Kellco.
James Gresham, Glen Elgin, also sold EU Angus steers, 312kg, with Mundoo and Highland Court blood for 458c/kg or $1429 going to Andrew Dunn, Glen Innes.
Battalion Hereford steers, 308kg, from EU accredited Grant and Kylie Kneipp, Dundee, reached a bid of 440c/kg or $1355, going to Tim and Sue Sloman, Dundee.
Battalion heifers, 244kg, made 450c/kg or $1098 going to the Darling Downs.
EU Hereford, 301kg bred by Bernie and Leanne Grogan, Tenterfield, sold to 448c/kg or $1347, going through Kellco.
Santa/Hereford 241kg bred by RJ Drew, with Foxforth blood, made 495c/kg or $1192 going to the Inverell district through Frame Rural Agencies. their sisters, 202kg, made 472c/kg or $953 going to the Narrabri district.
August drop Charolais/Hereford steers, 247kg, from Mark and Wendy Campion, Amos Vale, Pinkett, made 470c/kg or $1163 going to the Inverell district. Their Angus Hereford, 235kg, made 475c/kg or $1116 going through Kellco. Their black baldy heifers, 233kg, made 408c/kg or $950.
Roger Kneipp, Dundee Echo Park, sold Hereford steers 202kg for 488c/kg or $988 going to the Looker family, Ben Lomand.
The Alt brothers sold a Charolais/Hereford show steer, 202kg, for 735c/kg or $1486 going to Glen Innes High School. The rest of the pen made 454c/kg or $918, going to Coonamble through AJF Brien and sons.
The Alt brothers sold Hereford heifers with Lotus blood, 243kg, for 430c/kg or $1045 going to the Darling Downs.
