THE highly anticipated Central Tablelands Livestock Exchange Carcoar Autumn Weaner Sale will go ahead as planned on Friday morning, but with a few key changes to the way the auction is conducted.
The most important message for the public is to stay home if you don't need to be at the saleyards.
In recent days the sale-day procedures in response to COVID-19 has meant saleyard operators have had to draw the line on admitting non-essential visitors to facilities.
It's a trend right across NSW saleyards as they battle to shore up their right to continue trading and maintain an active and transparent marketplace at this unprecedented time.

AAM Investment Group is the manager and operator of CTLX, Carcoar, and its managing director Garry Edwards said to reduce the risk of exposure to, and spread of COVID-19, some amended mandatory processes will be enforced at all CTLX sales until further notice.
The first change is a mandatory electronic sign in process using Sine Pro.
The sign in will record name, contact details such as phone number and email and requires responses to some questions about an individual's risk profile to COVID-19. It must be completed on entry to the site.
The Sine Pro system can either be accessed manually or by downloading the Sine Pro app.
The Sine Pro app is free and available for iPhone and Android. It allows visitors to check in to the CTLX site each time they enter the facility.
A buyer identification system, which includes a visual identification and verification process, will also be in place.
This means approved buyers will be issued with accredited identification once they have completed the necessary sign in, declaration and verification process.
If buyers attending CTLX are not regular, or professional buyers or licensed agents, Mr Edwards said they should consider using remote sale-day participation (Stocklive), or discussing with their local agent the potential to use a nominated buyer or agent.

Mr Edwards said the number of buyers allowed into the facility would be restricted in accordance with advice from the Australian Government Department of Health and state-based health authorities.
"These restrictions will remain in place in accordance with any changes communicated by the Federal Government from this point forward," he said.
At last count, there were about 5000 quality, well bred weaners set to go under the hammer on Friday morning.
