There were 5488 head of cattle listed for Friday's northern and central NSW weaner and yearling sale on Auctions Plus, weaner steers selling for up to 600 cents per kilogram.
The listing was made up of mostly black weaners, with large runs on offer from the Northern Tablelands and New England regions.
Weaner steers sold from $685 to $1415 per head.
The top lot was a run of 34 Angus weaner steers, offered by RM and PL Wright, Trefusis, Walcha, which made $1415 or 461c/kg.
The EU accredited steers were aged 7 to 9 months and weighed 306kg.
On a cents per kilograms basis, the sale was also topped by Walcha steers.
G W Gallagher, Mirani, Walcha offered a run of 75 Angus weaners, which made 616c/kg or $1110/hd.
The steers were aged five to eight months and weighed 180kg.
The Ray White Livestock Armidale and Guyra Weaner and Breeder sale was moved onto AuctionsPlus this year.
One of the top results from the group of cattle on offer were 50 Angus weaners from Kenwood Partnership, Kenwood Park, Armidale which made $1145 or 593c/kg.
The weaners were 7 to 8 months old and weighed 193kg.
Yearling steers made from $865 to $1610 per head.
The tops of the yearlings were 72 Angus feeder steers from PD and SE Haeney, Rosewood, Walcha, aged 18 to 20 months and weighing 406kg. They made $1610 or 396c/kg.
A run of 42 backgrounder Angus steers from Rayport Pastoral, Dunedoo, made $1270 or 513c/kg.They were 9 to 14 months old and weighed 247kg.
Weaner heifers sold from $600 to $1370 per head.
The tops of the heifers were 11 Angus cross weaners offered by SJ Harvesting, Wilga Park, Boggabri, aged 10 to 12 months and weighing 340kg. They made $1370 or 403c/kg.
A lot of 19 Angus cross heifers from Kalooki, Sodwalls made 593c/kg. They weighed just 156kg and were aged 6 to 7 months.
Yearling heifers sold from $865 to $1510, the tops were a run of 20 NSM Future Breeders Angus from Best Partnership, Baroon, Gulargambone, weighing 375kg and aged 13 to 16 months.
