LEADING Poll Hereford studs from NSW and South Australia are offering genetics in the 59th annual Herefords Australia National Sale, which is usually held at Dubbo.
The June 2 sale includes 25 Poll Hereford bulls and four Poll Hereford heifers from seven studs - Armada, Mudgee (one bull); Eathorpe, Armidale (three bulls); Grathlyn, Hargraves (six bulls, two heifers); Ivybank, Walcha (three bulls, one heifer); JTR, Roslyn (one bull, one heifer); Morganvale, Keith, SA (three bulls); and Supple, Guyra (eight bulls).
Sale chairman Andrew Rayner said, while the sale is much smaller than previous years, there were very good quality lots throughout the catalogue.
Last year's sale averaged $8321 and reached a high of $30,000 for junior champion bull Grathlyn Holy Field, who was sold to Supple Whiteface.
The sale will be conducted under the helmsman system, by Nutrien Livestock and Elders.
