THE Big Steel, based in Wagga Wagga, manufactures and supplies heavy duty sheds designed to suit all pastoral and agricultural businesses throughout Australia.
The business does not promote itself as a manufacturer of customised sheds.
"Quite the opposite," The Big Steel manager, Chris Murray said.
"We have streamlined our range to four different shed widths that suit almost all rural requirements.
"From machinery and hay sheds to stock yard covers, grain sheds and feedlots."
The Big Steel provide sheds in 12, 16, 20 and 24 metre widths.
"From these, clients can choose as many bays as they wish," Mr Murray said.
"For example, 12 metre wide sheds have six metre bays so a 12m x 24m shed has four sets of six metre bays.
"Our 16, 20, and 24m sheds have 7.5 or 8m bays.
"They can also decide on what wall configuration best suits them from open front and drive through to fully enclosed.
"Because we limit our range to these four widths, we can keep production levels high and costs low.

"This allows us to be so much more competitive in price, lead time and transport cost.
"The finished look and longevity of the product are also very important to us.
"That's why all of our shed frames are galvanised with the universal beam columns being hot dip galvanised."
The sheds themselves are also very simple to assemble.
Andrew Kemp of AK Building said that in his 30 years of erecting sheds, The Big Steel sheds are the easiest by far to build.
"Because they are so solid, construction is easy," he said.
"Each portal frame stands rigidly and does not need supporting, making our job much quicker and easier.
"This reduces the construction cost considerably.
"My team and I always look forward to erecting another Big Steel shed.
"In my opinion, they are the best pre-fabricated shed on the market in Australia."
Managing director, Andrew Scott believes now is a great time to buy a shed.
"The cost of the shed, up to $150000, is 100 percent depreciable in this financial year (up to 30th June 2020).
"If your taxable income is $500000 you will now be paying tax on $350000.
"Give us a call and we would be happy to go through this with you."
